So, I have been out of the blogging mood for quite some time now (as you can see I only posted 14 times last year), but I think I'm in the mood to start up again. Even if no one reads it, I've come to the conclusion that I need to keep some sort of record of what my interests are, what I'm wearing at the moment, what movies and music I enjoy etc. This, I feel, is the only way that I can look back a year from now and say, "why the F*** was I into that!"......and also because I refuse to join Facebook.

I think I'm mainly going to post videos, music, and some outfits in the form of videos (maybe one or two outfits a week). The outfit posting thing is VERY new for me, but I think it's important for me to to document at least some of what I like to wear. This is mainly for myself, but also because I am the most unphotogenic person on Earth, and videos, I feel, just capture everything better.

I also don't think I want to get back into the habit of posting ONLY inspiration pics because frankly, isn't that what Tumbler is for?

Another New Years Resolution

One of my resolutions this year, is to create a more "grown up" apartment. I didn't realize how hard this is going to be. Mainly because I like way too many motifs. I think this is why I never took decorating my surroundings very seriously. Once I buy something home related, I always see an inspirational photo of something I like better. Do I want Scandinavian minimalism, Eclectic, Modern, Traditional? There are too many to choose from!!

So, the last week of July, I gave myself an early birthday present (a three day trip to Manhattan), and had the TIME OF MY LIFE! I am OBSESSED with NYC, and if I don't end up living there at some point in my life, I don't know what I'll do.
Anyway, I stayed in this really cute hotel in SOHO and was within walking distance to just about everything I love about the city. These 2 outfits remind me of some of the great style I saw while I was roaming around.

I totally have all the pieces in my closet to re-create the Gwyneth outfit...I have no shame.

Things have stabilized (sort of), so I'm going to try and start blogging as often as possible. For my precious few followers, thanks for waiting around!! Work has been INSANE!!

On a side note, I always like to spread the word about really great sales when I find them, so.... I found one.

If you live near a Martin and Osa clothing store, they are going out of buisness and selling EVERYTHING for 70% off lowest ticketed price. They are also getting rid of hangers (good wooden ones), fixtures, vases, everything. I just bought a shit load of stuff for $80 bucks, including a bunch of hangers. You should check it out!!

I love going on work trips in places that are really close to NYC, because there is always the possibility of getting to go in. We had a full day (catching the first train in, and the very LAST train out) of roaming around Greenwich Village and Soho, which meant more shopping opportunities than anyone can handle in one day (It feels like I went in almost every shop).

I finally got to eat up some cupcakes from Magnolia Bakery (they were SO good!!), and almost lost my damn mind in Topshop! The only downer to the Topshop experience was the cash register girl's ridiculously bad attitude (I know it's busy, but if you don't want to be there...go home!) And even though I'm totally against knock offs, my friend Justin and I couldn't resist buying fake Rolex's on Canal Street. Even I have to admit, they look really really good.

And ending the night with all 8 of us getting a little too tipsy in some random pub in Times Square, made the perfect finale to an amazing day. Well, the 12:40am train ride home was pretty interesting as well.

So these bags are SERIOUSLY the greatest things I've ever seen at Forever 21.... seriously. I couldn't decide between the large or the small, but after consulting two fellow shoppers, I chose the small one. The best bit is the chain mail on the front. It sort of has an iridescent quality to it. VERY VERY COOL.

The quality is really good as well. You can hardly tell that it's faux leather.

p.s. Has it really taken me 8 months to make 200 posts? No wonder I hardly have any followers.
